https://isap.sejm.gov.pl/isap.nsf/download.xsp/WDU20062061516/O/D20061516.pdf

For construction facilities, including hydrotechnical structures, the following inspections are performed: periodic, current and special. The most important type of inspections are periodic inspections, updated in accordance with the applicable regulations in this area.
These inspections are performed:
– annually – subjects of annual inspection include, but are not limited to: the efficiency of devices, and installations and equipment necessary for the safe operation of the structure,
– once every five years – subjects of inspection required on a basis of once every five years include, but are not limited to: checking the technical condition and usability of the building subject to inspection, and the aesthetics of the building and its surroundings,
– ongoing inspections of buildings – ongoing inspections are to ensure detection and observation of phenomena that may indicate deterioration of the technical condition. Current inspections include spring and autumn technical inspections of buildings, whose devices remain exposed to harmful influences of the environment in which they operate during use.
special inspections – special inspections of the technical condition of a particular building are carried out immediately after the occurrence of unusual circumstances (e.g. after a flood). The scope of the special inspection, which may be based on a construction expert opinion, is determined depending on the needs of the client and should take into account the highest level of safety of the damming structure.

Inspections of marine structures:
1) ongoing inspection during the use of the marine structure;
2) periodic inspection referred to in art. 62 sec. 1 item 1 of the Act;
3) periodic inspection referred to in art. 62 sec. 1 point 2 of the Act;
4) extraordinary control.
